Since I last posted things have been really crazy. We are moving. We had a plan in place and now that may be changing. So I am now fully going to plan to homeschool all four children, no public school charters or anything for next year. If we are still close enough they can do it, if not then I at least have a plan in place.
Princess will have her own literature curriculum.
July to August- She will be studying The Phantom Tollbooth. We will read the book, discuss the plot, write a story about Princess and a magical tollbooth and we will make a toll booth. We will also be making a Lap book.
August to September -She will read The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. We will do similar projects with each book we read and a lap book for each book we read this next year.
September to October-She will be studying poems with Where the Sidewalk Ends. In this unit we will be writing different kinds of poems. She will put together a book of 10 of her favorite poems that she wrote by the end of this unit.
October to November- She will be reading Prince Caspian.
November to December- She will be writing a factual story on the subject of her choosing. She can write about a person, place or event that she would like to research and learn more about.
January to February- Will find Princess reading George Washington's Socks.
March to April- Princess will read the Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
